Barbara Kellc believes that it is important to be surrounded by a home you love, especially in Manhattan where so many different property and personality types converge. Her goal is to find each person one special place that suits their lifestyle and budget.
For more than 30 years, Barbara has enjoyed living in Manhattan’s Upper West Side. She has personally bought and sold co-op apartments, and has built a solid knowledge of both the market, and the ins and outs of the transaction and board processes. In fact, Barbara handled most of her deals herself, which partly inspired her to share her insight with others as a professional advocate for their needs. She also has held many positions on two different co-op boards, from treasurer to president to vice president – her current role – so she has an “insider’s” perspective of board procedures and requirements.
A natural teacher and communicator, Barbara breaks down the steps of a real estate purchase or sale in understandable, doable terms. She alleviates the stress involved with her calm yet in-command demeanor, and navigates the myriad of details necessary to close a deal with focus and dedication. Through it all, Barbara also injects humor and fun into the mix, to make the experience as enjoyable as it is rewarding for all parties.
Prior to entering residential real estate sales, Barbara spent many years in investment banking and finance, with specialized expertise in securitization and loan syndications. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Smith College in Northampton, MA, and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Wharton School of Finance in Philadelphia, PA.
When time outside of work allows, Barbara’s favorite activities include going to movies and plays in the city, and gardening and the outdoors at her home in Southold on Long Island’s North Fork.
